Amy grew up just outside of Austin and still has family in the area. She graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station and moved to the Houston area to begin her “first career” as a Middle School Math Teacher. During her time teaching she met and married her husband and love of her life, Kelly. Although she loved working with kids, she decided to go into the private sector and learn more about her other love, technology. She went to work for Baylor College of Medicine in Telecommunications. During her 13 years with Baylor, she moved up the ranks and learned more about technology, project management, and management in general, leading the department through many changes. During this time, Amy had a wonderful son and found herself needing to spend more time with him and her husband. Amy then went to work for IBM as an Implementation Project Manager. This position allowed her to work from home full time with little travel. The department was eventually bought out by another company and Amy assisted in the transition and worked with Tangoe for about 1 year when she found herself discussing the need to implement new systems with Sharon Walker.
In her spare time, Amy will not be found sitting with idle hands! She loves to do any type of craftiness. She’s also handy with a screwdriver, drill and hammer, which comes in handy for homeowners! She is the mother of one son, who is a proud member of the Armed Forces, and one dog.
