Owner Representative & Accounting
Amy grew up just outside of Austin before continuing on to Texas A&M University in College Station. After graduation, Amy moved to the Houston area to begin her “first career” as a Middle School Math Teacher. During her time teaching she met and married her husband and love of her life, Kelly. Although she loved working with kids, she decided to go into the private sector and learn more about her other love, technology. She went to work for Baylor College of Medicine in Telecommunications. During her 13 years with Baylor, she moved up the ranks and learned more about technology, project management, and management in general, leading the department through many changes. During this time, Amy had her wonderful son, Elias (who is now in High School). After being asked to implement new systems with Walker Luxury Vacation Rentals Amy took the plunge into a new industry.
Learning the business from every angle, Amy thoroughly enjoys the relationships she has built with each member of the team. Amy has worked as a reservation agent, implemented WLVR’s inspection/staging service, and improved accounting procedures, among other initiatives. Amy currently works as an accounting specialist, and the owner representative, handling every aspect of the home management process. She appreciates the long term relationships she is able to build with WLVR homeowners as well as being a part of creating additional income for them and their families.
In her spare time, Amy can be found crafting resin art, jewelry, beading, painting, tatting, sewing and anything other craft – especially old crafts. She’s also proficient with a screwdriver, drill and hammer, which comes in handy for homeowners! Amy lives in Rosharon just outside of Houston, with her husband, son and two dogs.
